I also accept all major credit cards and HSA/FSA cards for your convenience.
Out-of-Network Insurance Option
If you wish to use your insurance’s out-of-network benefits, I’m happy to provide the necessary documentation (like a superbill) for you to submit directly to your insurance provider; many families I work with have had success in receiving reimbursement from their insurance providers for services. Here are some questions to ask your insurance company when confirming your benefits:
Does my policy cover out-of-network services with an LCSW in Colorado?
What documentation is required to determine medical necessity for reimbursement?
What CPT codes are covered for therapy services?
Are there any diagnoses that are not eligible for reimbursement?
How many sessions are covered each year, and is there a lifetime cap?
What percentage of the session fee will be reimbursed, and what is my out-of-pocket responsibility?
For more details on navigating out-of-network benefits, visit Mentaya for additional guidance.
I am here to support you in getting the care your child deserves. If you have any questions about fees, insurance, or payment options, don’t hesitate to reach out. Let’s work together to make therapy accessible, flexible, and tailored to your family’s needs.
Why I Do Not Accept Insurance
You might be wondering why Play Therapy Connection does not work with insurance. Here are the main reasons:
Confidentiality & Privacy
Therapy is deeply personal, and I want to protect your child’s privacy. Using insurance often means that therapy records become part of your medical history, which could potentially impact confidentiality. Insurance companies also request extensive documentation, which could compromise privacy. No Diagnosis Required
Many children I work with don’t need a formal mental health diagnosis. If you don’t want a diagnosis attached to your child’s care, you don’t have to worry when paying privately. This approach allows us to focus entirely on your child’s emotional needs without labels or restrictions.Flexibility in Treatment
Insurance companies often impose limits on the number of sessions or specific treatment goals. By paying privately, we have the freedom to set the pace of therapy based on what your child needs, not what an insurance provider dictates.Fewer Administrative Hurdles
Working outside of insurance means fewer headaches for you. There’s no paperwork, no long waits on the phone with insurance companies, and more time focused on care and results.
