Play Therapy for Children in Centennial, CO
Play Therapy for Children Ages 3–12 Experiencing Anxiety, Emotional Overwhelm, and Behavioral Challenges
Helping children express what they can't yet put into words—and helping parents better understand what their child's behavior is communicating.
When children are overwhelmed, anxious, or struggling with big emotions, they don't always have the words to tell us what's wrong. Instead, they communicate through behavior.
Maybe your child melts down after school, worries constantly, shuts down, or becomes easily frustrated. Maybe you've tried everything you can think of, but you're still left wondering what's really going on.
Play therapy helps us make sense of what's beneath the behavior so your child (and your whole family) can move forward with greater confidence and connection.

As a Certified Synergetic Play Therapist, I believe behavior is communication. Rather than asking, "How do we stop this behavior?" I'm asking, "What is this child trying to tell us?"
Play is a child's natural language. Through play, children express experiences, emotions, and worries they often can't yet explain with words. Together, we'll use those moments to build emotional awareness, strengthen regulation, and help your child feel more capable of navigating life's challenges.
My approach is grounded in neuroscience, nervous system regulation, and child development. I don't believe in trying to “fix” children or make them fit into a mold. Instead, I help children better understand themselves while partnering closely with parents so you feel confident supporting them at home.

Therapy is tailored to your child's unique strengths, developmental stage, and nervous system. Sessions are child-led so your child feels safe enough to explore big emotions at their own pace. Play isn’t used in conjunction with therapy; it is the therapeutic tool. However your child shows up, it gives us opportunities for deeper understanding and to practice regulation skills.
Throughout the process, you'll be an important part of therapy. We regularly check in about your child's progress, talk through what's happening at home, and work together to better understand what your child's behavior is communicating.
